1) CALL FOR MEMBERSHIP: LETTER TO POSSIBLE PARTNERS
- To finalize the goals of WINE;
- To stress the importance of libraries and documentation
centers for research projects;
- To underline the importance of setting up European
projects;
- Call for papers for Lund: DEADLINE 1 FEBRUARY;
- Annamaria and Maria will write the letter, Joke will
send it out.
2) LJUBLJANA, 7-10 NOVEMBER, 2002

- To present Wine and call for membership, focusing
on the Eastern Europe: prepare and distribute a WINE
leaflet and the letter for new partners ;
- To co-operate with the rest of the ATHENA working
groups, in order to discuss in details the application
for Athena II;
- To discuss the ICT's projects within WINE with the
other two ICT's Athena coordinators: Erna Kotkamp and
Aino-Maija.Hiltunen.
3) SPRING MEETING
- Proposed dates: - 22/23 February, 2003 - 15/16 March,
2003
- To present Wine and call for membership focusing
on the Mediterranean Area;
- To discuss and finalize the DGX application (deadline:
April, 2003)
4) LUND CONFERENCE, 19-24 AGUST, 2003
- The Wine section of the conference should be built
up on the two levels of:
- Small working groups of professionals dealing with
technical aspects;
- A public discussion directed to a wider range of researchers
and teachers: it is necessary to have a key-not in the
plenary of the conference.
- Proposed title: "Sources for Research and Action.
Politics of Feminist/Gender Information and Documentation".
- Proposed workshops:
- Sources for Research;
- Catalogues built from a specific perspective: gender
and language (Which is the state of European catalogues
at this moment?);
- ICT's;
- Training;
- Education for target women;
- Adult Education;
- Training for journalists/translators/librarians from
a gender perspective.
5) APPLICATION DGX, April 2003
To be discussed.
6) DISCUSSION OF THE TWO WORKING DOCUMENTS
- In progress: add corrections. Discuss both of them
in Ljubljana and report ideas/proposals;
7) IDEAS FOR POSSIBLE FUTURE PROJECTS WITHIN WINE
- The building of a WINE website:
- Mailing List;
- Information on Eastern (and others) websites;
- Letter to new partners;
- Wine Newsletter in the future;
- Project of the IIAV: "Images of the Women's Movement
on the Internet";
Possibility of a future co-operation with WINE: to be
discussed further.
- Application for funds for the preservation of documents
and the digitalization of them. (See on this the SOFTWARE
proposed by the Italian Network LILITH.)
- To map the situation of existing activities among
partners and within European networks (see questionnaire);
8) POSSIBLE FUTURE CONCRETE RESULTS.
(This is what in the Athena proposal goes under "PRODUCTS":
each activity should focus on one -ore more- final result
to be achieved. For now it can help us to clarify our goals
and priorities).
- To develop a document which, drawing from common guidelines,
should help building and structuring more systematic
working relationships between information centers and
universities.
- To recruit members from Eastern and Southern Europe
(see Working Document Document 3);
- To draw a proposal for a joint application within
the DGX framework of the EU;
- To organize a regional meeting in between the Know-How
Conferences;
- To start working towards a common catalogue database;
- The creation of a web-ring which will be managed by
WINE. This will create the opportunity for different
libraries and information centers to easily link their
(international part of the) website to WINE and vice
versa and to navigate to related websites;
- On line training courses for librarians specialized
in gender;
- On line teaching manual for librarians;
- Curriculum development;
- Publication of an index/lexicon on the Women's Movement
Images (IIAV);
9) FOLLOW UP:
- Entry into Athena of Paris, Barcelona, Berlin, Austria;
- Questionnaire:
