Work and women's everyday life: What specific effects does work have on women's organisation of their everyday lives, especially in relation to the times and spaces of women's lives. Which forms of mediation and adaptation between work and care (family, children, elderly, home management) 2. Transformations in the forms of women's work: What types of effects do new and more flexible forms of work organisation produce? New forms of autonomy and independence, or new forms of insecurity and dependence? In particular we wish to study new forms of work, both typical and atypical, in communication, information and new media (information centers and all other experiences in converging old and new media, both run by women and targeting women) 3. Women's work and sustainability: Here the focus will be on alternative projects which promote and demonstrate sustainability on three levels: - economic (autonomy and economic sustainability, microbusiness etc.) - social (reconstitution of social networks, especially those regarding women's interpersonal and social relationships) - environmental (experiences which demonstrate the combination of women's work with environmental sustainability) 4. Women's work and civic and political participation Here the focus will be on women's work experiences which promote and augment civic participation and the public presence of women in trade unions and other traditional forms, as well as in new forms of gender empowering.
