Women, Identity and Decision Making

An opportunity for local women and organisations and transnational partners to ask questions and seek solutions in the field of women's equal opportunities. The Programme includes presentations from Women's Organisations and Networks around Europe

How can we create structures that lead to power sharing?

An exploration of how different models and structures of organisation can help or hinder women's access to decision making, such as

Quotas and Positive Action - Councils and Forums - Networks and Coalitions

Can we have a collective voice that recognises diversity?

How can those women with the least access to decision making have a say?
How can we decide on a shared Platform for Action that takes account of the needs and interests of women with different identities and experiences?
How can mainstreaming of a women's perspective in all policies be achieved while only some issues are seen as "women's issues?"

How can individual women "represent" the views of others in their community?

How can a "community of interest" such as women fit into neighbourhood models of consultation and involvement?
How can women escape the labels given them by funders and political bodies and explore their own identity as local, national, European and global citizens?
